What's so big about it?
I really enjoy video games, anime, manga. I think that it is an important part of the world culture. Well not EVERY anime or game is an important part of it, but it's really cool to find out what was created when and why. The context is also matter. I do not watch some of the very popular titles or some really long ones (old 45+ episodes format is not what I like, sorry). Anyway I do enjoy style of anime or the ideas in the title. Some are fun, some are scary, and some are trash, but in context of old trash action movies that were the inspiration for the creators (or so I suppose) it's ok. To learn more about the hobby that I enjoy I have to learn a few languages. Japanese for sure is important, but it's not easy to learn. Somehow there were a lot of Spanish anime fanzines and magazines as well as some French so to understand the history I have to learn it too.
